Do not buy this fridge! After just about a year, I started having the same issues as the others; freezer freezing, not draining and resulting in food spoilage in the fridge. 3 years later and 6 repair visits later, I am still having the same issue. What's a 7th visit anyway? I could have bought a new, working fridge with all the money I have spent in repair costs. Whirlpool, you should be ashamed that this model is still being sold!!!

This was a replacement fridge for the one I purchased a few months earlier. The replacement refrigerator was worse than the one I am currently dealing with. The delivery crew took pictures of the bad seals because they noticed the problem right away. Some parts were delivered Monday and I am waiting on someone from your end to install the new doors. ( I am not going to remove the old fridge doors and install the new ones, especially with all the problems this make and model has had) PLEASE have this repair scheduled for next week. This has been a really bad experience (see history your attempts)

Unfortunately The refrigerator was delivered not working . The lower half oh the door would not close all the way and after 2 hours of running would not cool. A small knob in the freezer was also detached. I™™m returning for a refund awaiting Home Depot pick up on Nov 4 . Very disappointed/frustrated to say the least.

Under no circumstances should you buy this product!!!! I bought this for my house 3 years ago. 2 years in, it started massively leaking water from the freezer into the fridge. I called a repair service and they immediately knew and fixed the problem™¦for 3 months. Then I called Whirlpool. Without even hearing the problem they offered me two options: both options cost AS MUCH AS THE REFRIGERATOR ITSELF. This is one of the worst investments I™™ve ever made, and shame on Home Depot for carrying this.

This refrigerator is the perfect size for what we needed. I wish it had less drawers and wider shelf spacing. Most of the shelves aren™™t big enough to hold anything The actual usage of the item works as needed just not practical.

I purchased this refrigerator as a "spare" basement refrigerator after our 30-year-old Amana refrigerator bit the dust after a 24 hour power outage. We also ordered another Whirlpool refrigerator to replace the Amana for the kitchen but that couldn't be delivered for a month. When this refrigerator was delivered I noted the exposed cooling coils along the entire back of the refrigerator, something I hadn't seen since my 40 year old Kenmore upright freezer. The delivery crew placed the fridge on a dolly with the back laying against the cooling coils which was not a great idea. After letting the refrigerator operate for 24 hours we found that it would not cooldown to required temperature (placed a refrigerator thermometer in both the refrigerator and freezer sections). I inspected the back of the refrigerator and noted a major crease at the bottom of the cooling coil frame probably caused during the delivery process. I contacted Home Depot and told them the refrigerator appeared to be damaged during delivery and I wanted to return the refrigerator and get my money back. At first they were only willing to replace it with the same refrigerator. I told them I never would have purchased this refrigerator if I had known it had exposed cooling coils on the back of the unit. When I was at Home Depot I noted that even less expensive refrigerators than this Whirlpool unit did not have exposed cooling coils on the back. Long story short is Home Depot agreed to take this fridge back and refund my money. I also cancelled the order for the larger Whirlpool refrigerator and ordered a GE unit instead.

Bought and delivered end of January. This is the third time it's stopped working. I've lost food twice because the freezer keeps icing up and then the fridge quits cooling. Each time I've needed it looked at it it's taken multiple attempts to get someone to my house. Today was attempt #3 for this service call and the technician didn't show up they just called and asked me a few questions (I"m guessing because he remember which fridge I have and he knows it's junk) They've replaced the control board and a fan, ordered an evaporator fan today and now tonight I see it's leaking water and the fridge is stopped working AGAIN. Their idea of how to fix it, offer a reduced extended warranty plan I have to pay for.... if I'd known what a headache this would be I'd have kept my old fridge and just replaced my dishwasher.

I™™ve had the fridge for one year and six months and it is already leaking water inside of fridge. I look at the reviews and this is a known and common problem with this model of refrigerator. With that said you™™d think maybe a recall on the product, I mean they are knowingly selling junk! Instead warranty expired after a year and their consumers pay the price. Never again will Whirlpool receive my business, not the trusted company you would expect them to be.

Very difficult to change door swing and now the gaskets don't fit, have spent 4 different times on hold with Whirlpool trying to get service for over 2 hours. Back at it today. It fits with what I wanted, where I wanted and if the gasket would fit I would give it higher stars. Delivery people, not whirlpool, were supposed to change doors and didn't. Now I know why. My experienced maintenance man took 3 hours trying to do it, and it was very difficult.

Here™™s mine:
Over a month without a working fridge, unit purchased 1/25/22, both freezer and fridge section stopped working suddenly 6/27, due to a manufacturing flaw (service statement).
Whirlpool customer care says:
Wait 21 days for ™xpart™ request of a ™heat shield™ to come through. If not they will ™escalate it™ and it would be another 10 business days, putting me at 8/26. I asked for an email stating this for my records and stayed on the line while she supposedly sent it, and then she ™sent it™ from ™dh.resources@™¦™ and transferred me over before I could make sure she sent it. I received nothing.
From here I™™m transferred to a lead/supervisor and told If the product doesn™™t arrive by then they will escalate this to the product exchange review board which will take 1 to 2 business days to review my request for a replacement. Putting a possible resolution 8/28.
Timeline:
-Service call: 6/28
-Service appointment: 7/11
-™Xpart™ request (part order): 7/14
- 21 days to process xpart request: 8/12
-additional 10 days for escalation: 8/26
-product exchange review board 1-2 day request approval: 8/28
Lead customer care ™Shelly in Tennessee™ States these dates and explains this is the process prior to a replacement, but then says she cannot email me a timeline or policies showing this due to in-house policy, this can change etc. etc. so all I have is hearsay I don™™t have an email or any policy or anything stating that this is how whirlpool handles these types of cases or even a case file for reassurance.

After 2 months of operation, the refrigerator just died. the motor would run on and off every minute or so. Warranty service is a joke as they don't have parts to repair and now after a month without my refrigerator, I'm still waiting.

The unit stopped cooling approximately 120 days after purchase. A technician came out and assessed it and ordered a new compressor. It has now been over a month since the unit stopped working, and Whirlpool still can not deliver the required parts. On what planet does a company assume their customers can go for over a month without a refrigerator/freezer without offering a definitive solution. I have requested a refund or replacement, but they will not accommodate these requests.

Bought this fridge in February and it came broke. Whirlpool sent out 2 technicians to diagnose the issue. It was not fixable so we had to order a replacement. The replacement came in May because it was back-ordered. I noticed that the seal was off and cold air was leaking. Whirlpool again had to send out a technician rather than accepting my photos. The technician determined that it was not repairable. The new replacement fridge is set to arrive end of June. It™™s been 4 months and I have not had a working fridge. I believe it would be a nice fridge if they weren™™t defective.

If I can give it 0 stars, I would. Fridge arrived - broken and not working. Second one replacement came a week after - freezer won™™t freeze and the regular fridge won™™t cool. Warm all around. 4 weeks wait for service. Fridge purchased in February - service came in April - 2 months and no fridge - and service tech said seal problem and cannot be fixed. DO NOT buy. RUN

Bought this early January and the compressor failed just after one month leaving the unit completely dead. Have been without a refrigerator for almost 3 weeks now and still waiting for resolution. Apparently, the model is so new that the contracted service company cannot even order part(s) needed.

Price was good for the size and style. I like that it can have an icemaker added later. Unfortunately one of the feet was bent, and when we switched the door opening direction, we found that one of the needed holes on the bottom wasn't threaded like it was supposed to be (found out after removing over 20 screws and the doors...).

The biggest disappointment with this entry level, but good looking and compact refrigerator, is the fact that it has only one temperature sensor and it is in the fridge section, no sensor in the freezer. That means that for as long as the temperature in the fridge is within the setpoint, the compressor will not run and the freezer will not keep items frozen. In other words, this unit cannot be used effectively in the garage during the winter as its freezer will not work due to the low ambient temperature in the garage which in turn maintains low temperature in the refrigerator section, which in turn does not energize the compressor. Instead, the temperature sensor should be in the freezer and have a damper regulate the other section, or just have one sensor for each section.

When we purchased, the refrigerator part would not cool, freezer worked great. Set up a service call and the ™damper™ was stuck. Repairman was going to order another one but found there are no parts available for this model, maybe like this is a ™ disposable refrigerator ™ ( my words) damper thumped and fridge part is working, just hope after the warranty is over it doesn™™t quit. Repairman advised us to buy an extended warranty. Purchased for a garage refrigerator
