Large capacity and nice looking black finish

This is the largest capacity refrigerator in its class and so far has performed well. Features like the "pizza pocket" are an added bonus. The black finish has been resistant to smudges and fingerprints. This is being used as a simple garage fridge without water hooked up for ice. Keeping it simple will hopefully ensure it lasts longer with fewer mechanics to break down. My last fridge was a Samsung with an extremely annoying water accumulation inside the upper compartment. This became unrepairable within only a few years and had to be junked after spending over $800 trying to fix it.

Overall we are pleased with the new refrigerator. We didn™€™t realize when we purchased it that we accidentally purchased the model with no water dispenser. Honestly, for the price point, we were surprised there was one without a filtered water dispenser. The inside is very spacious and I appreciate the room for gallon sized jugs on both interior doors. The drawer is quite large and fit more than I expected. We are a family that eats a ton of fresh fruit and vegetables and I was disappointed in the size of the produce drawers. They are quite small. The freezer is very well divided and fit way more than we expected. We absolutely love the ice maker and the pizza pocket area for storage of frozen pizzas. It cooled down super quick when we first received it and so far we™€™ve had no issues keeping things fresh without freezing them in the fridge. Honestly, it seems like there are a lot of bells and whistles on this fridge, but it™€™s really a pretty basic and large fridge.

We love our Whirlpool 31 cu. ft. French Door, bottom freezer purchased at Lowe™€™s. We had to replace an existing Samsung that kept having freezer coil issues when the repairman finally said ™€œtime for a new one.™€ The Whirlpool™€™s interior design allows for a lot more storage and better organization in both the refrigerator and the bottom freezer. It cools well, is quiet and we special ordered an all black unit to match our existing appliances.

Huge Capacity -and Very Quiet!!!

Complete system rebuild needed after 2 MONTHS !

I purchased this refrigerator brand new at Christmas 2025, the ice machine stopped making ice approx 6 weeks later. A few days later the freezer stopped working completely and then a day or two after that the refrigerator stopped working. E8 and F8 error codes. Called customer service and they had a authorized technician come out. His unofficial report was " You got a bad fridge ". The official report, complete rebuild of THE ENTIRE SYSTEM! Oh, and was also told that because the refrigerator was so new, that it would be 3 weeks before they can get all the various parts. Called customer service again due to the fact that my less than 2 month old refrigerator needs to be COMPLETELY REBUILT. Sure its under manufacturers warranty, but i feel pretty pessimistic about what the next few years are going to look like with this thing. I would feel better if they just swapped it out for a new one (assuming they stand by their work and craftsmanship on their products and this was a rare one off experience). However, they're not being very helpful with this and forcing the repairs on us. Again, a complete system rebuild and its less than 2 months old. I'm also confident this review will go through a filter of some form internally at their corporate office and will likely never see the light of day. I'll give customer service some time to arrange a more satisfactory outcome before considering a more public, social media based review. Hopefully they'll do the right thing, but we'll see. Additionally, i'll be happy to provide documentation if they reach out, to prove this is real and not some competitor review bombing them.

I am very happy with the way the refrigerator works. The only 2 problems are when I received it and got in unboxed i noticed a discolored mark in the finish above the whirlpool logo 6"Ã--4". I think they need better quality control at the factory but it doesn't effect the functionality. I am also slightly disappointed that my whirlpool is made in China. Other than those 2 things it is great so far.

So Far So Good - Time Will Tell

Nothing gets 5 stars without the passage of time. So far the refrigerator seems fine for the two weeks we've owned it. This unit replaces a very troublesome and expensive Samsung that lasted all of 8 years. The refrigerator is quiet - relatively speaking, maintains proper temperature, and the ice maker produces adequate quantities. Wife noticed that the plastic drawers seem a little thinner, i.e. cheaper than others, (shrinkflation?). Once again time will tell. I opened the access panel on the bottom rear exterior to see condenser configuration. It is very simple and looks like it will be easy to keep the dust bunnies out - unlike the Samsung. Two complaints so far: (1) The control panel embedded on the side of the left refer door takes some getting used to and is not the most user friendly but it's ok. (2) Paint job, (black) isn't great and is easily scratched so will need to take precautions. I'm hoping this unit lasts a long time but won't be surprised if it doesn't. Unfortunately nothing seems to be built for the long haul anymore. So sad for consumers and the planet.

The entire unit failed with a full cooling block failure the day before Thanksgiving. Whirlpool has only 1 repair option in my area, and the estimated repair, including wait times, was 7 to 8 weeks, leaving me disabled in a rural part of the country with no cold food storage. I was also informed that you get 3 tries to fix this before replacement, and this whole thing would count as try #1. It's been hell. I had to haunt your holiday fridge ads with my issue to get the attention of the company enough to get this thing even approved for replacement. There is no reason any customer should ever have to chase you down to fix a lemon. A full cooling block failure at 2 months old is a lemon. If I could have given you zero stars, I would have. - My stunt got enough attention that I was offered a replacement, which should arrive later this week, but shame on you for making ME do the heavy lifting while you leave me with a $2200 paperweight for the holidays.

The wheel on the freezer drawer broke off. Attempt to call Whirlpool customer service and on hold for extreme amount of time; then attempted to go online to get service/support. I bought my new refrigerator about a month ago and I absolutely love it! So much room inside the fridge as well as the freezer. Love the large capacity ice bin. The double doors make it so easy to retrieve things and put them away
