VERY PLEASED

Well, we have used this machine for a year now and we are VERY PLEASED. This washer cleans well, is quiet, and it is VERY SIMPLE to use. This machine works differently, forcing water THRU the clothes, without the action of a standard agitator, having cycles, settings & features your old machine probably didn't have.
READ the manual and KEEP IT BY THE MACHINE. Experiment and learn how to use the cycles, what they do, and how they work, giving you the knowledge/options that will result in the most satisfaction.
Pay attention to the different "agitation" cycles, you'll learn how the different spin cycles work with the various wash cycles, to leave more or less water in the clothes. Depending on the type of material, this affects the cloth's wrinkles & the time that will be needed to dry the clothes - you will be glad you did.
On water level we use the RECOMMENDED auto fill setting because well, it just works. We prefer warm water on both wash/rinse because warm/hot water will ALWAYS let the additives/soap, let alone the rinsing, dissolve & it just works much better. We use hot water on whites and sheets. Drop in the heaviest clothes first, STRAIGHT in, NOT wrapped around the agitator like you did with the old machines, let the machine do that as it adds the water. The soil level (agitating time) should match the REAL level of dirt on the clothes - really dirty, greasy clothes may need pre treatment, but they will always need THE MAXIMUM TIME TO CLEAN. Because of the chamois pad in our bib shorts, when washing our bicycle clothes we always do an extra rinse. King size bedspreads, sheets and pillowcases, curtains, small rugs & bathmats, hats, gloves, coveralls, heavy coats and vest, we have done about everything we could think of. For us, this machine is a WINNER !!!
We had a EXCELLENT 25 year old CLEAN Dependable Care Maytag that my uncle bought new in 1990, those are really EXCELLENT machines, we are still using the matching dryer. Growing up on a farm, I am a fixer and REALLY wanted to fix it, but most parts for that machine are now obsolete, e-bay type items. After CAREFULL weighing of all the pros & cons, getting the special tools needed or paying our repairman, finding the discontinued parts needed then maybe finding unexpected wear when tore down now needing more discontinued parts, the "what next" down the road aspect of the "next" repair, ect. we decided, alas, it was time to move on and find another machine.
Probably the BIGGEST reason for purchasing this machine is for the quality. When a manufacturer provide a 7 year WARRANTY on PARTS and LABOR & THE HOUSE CALL --- THAT'S 'nuff said, at least for us. In case you didn't know, this is the SAME EXACT MACHINE you will find in any laundromat that uses this newer type Speed Queen washer - only it will have the coinbox installed on it.
Yes, this machine is expensive but research the different brands of washing machines and you'll soon learn that MANY people have spent a third or half or almost three fourth's as much or more for a machine that has a 12 month warranty and quit WITHIN in the first year OR just after that first year, meaning NO WARRANTY.
This is our honest experience over the past year with this machine, and for us it has been excellent, we have NO REGRETS. We hope your experience is like ours, too !!!
