I have had this washer a couple of months, HATE it!!! it is very load, is off balance constantly, no matter what cycle I use it gets off balance, spin light starts flashing, have to stop it, restart it on drain and spin, then its puts a little more water in it and then it might spin, sometimes have to do it again. This is my first and last GE washer!

I wish I had seen the review from boondocklady before I purchased this piece of crap, I wish I had taken the $$$$ I spent on this & had my 15 yr old machine repaired!!! I totally agree with ™ boondocklady™ ( Nov year ago review) After the cycle is complete, the clothes are wet to the point I would have to spend 3x more energy to get them dry. JUST SPIN THE CLOTHES P,EASE. Would not purchase again or recommend this to anyone

Would absolutely not recommend. Not sure what is a better option. It is obnoxiously loud during wash cycle, as others have reported. Even with laundry room door shut can hear the intermittent grinding sound as agitator cycles on and off throughout the house. Similar in sound and level as videos for this model online. Have upstairs laundry so could never run at night due to noise. I have a 25 year old Kenmore this was to replace, now thinking about trying to repair it instead. Was quiet, reliable, very easy to use. cleaned close in one wash cycle. Could open lid at anytime, close and wash would continue. With this machine when open lid, have to hit start again and would start wash cycle from the beginning. The responses from GE with similar issues were to level, which was done, unplug to reset, also done and did all he other suggestions. During spin cycle, lid locks, which I understand why, but takes several minutes for it to stop and unlock so can rebalance load. Then have to hit start again because opened lid and guess what, starts from beginning wash cycle again. I read the entire manual, followed all directions. FYI on Normal(color), deep fill option is not available per manual. Deep fill option, agitator is nice, but the noise and complications in trying to manipulate the setting to get proper wash is not worth it. Buy something else. Tried to add video, but would not allow.

Waste of money. Bought brand new. Didn't wash right from day one. Everything loads right and follow directions. Them various loads bunch up, big and small. Have to restack, drain and spin again. Called out ge appliance tech. Said nothing was wrong. Said put it on delicate and solve the problem bc they put low water from manufacturing. Basically we put all their recommendations into place. Nothing improved. No other options. Never buying ge again.

I'm not going to say avoid GE appliances all together, but I will say, do NOT buy this one. At this price point, it's just an embarrassing option. From excessive noise to unclear controls to even incomplete instructions, you can do far better than this unit. This pile of junk just strikes me as a machine GE threw together before a deadline.

I just purchased this washer on 9/5/2025 and so far, I™™m not impressed. The tub is large (which I like), but the water fill levels are off in measurement so I always run the washer at the max fill level AND hit the deep-level wash, otherwise the tub wouldn™™t have enough water for my loads. Secondly, when I add fabric softener to the designated holder, at the end of the wash, fabric softener is still running out of the cup and on to the clean clothes. I™™ve even tried using my downey ball..the fabric softener is never released™¦ Ugh! Lastly, this machine is so noisy. How could this not be heard and resolved in development and testing? My older machine was far better. I™™m really trying to like this new machine, but it™™s functionally is making it very difficult. I do wish I could get a refund and go with a different machine.

I don™™t normally write reviews, but my horrendous experience with trying to buy a new washer has led me here. I don™™t know if I just got a bad machine, twice , or what.. but these glowing reviews I have read make me question everything! I purchased this machine from Lowe™™s, it was delivered, and never worked right from the start. It won™™t fully complete one single cycle ™¦ it goes off balance constantly and even redistributing, which I should not have to do, doesn™™t work. So it just stops mid cycle. Fabric softener goes everywhere and has ruined some clothes for me. If I was successful at a semi clean load it took 3 washes plus a drain and spin, because the cycles won™™t complete, every single time. I tried everything I knew to do , nothing made this machine work. I even took videos. So I called Lowe™™s, they took that one off and brought me a replacement, had the exact same issues again, except this time it™™s also stopping mid cycle and just humming ™¦ I give up!! I hate all this computerized crap we have gone to.. it™™s junk and doesn™™t work!! My last washer was a GE and I loved it and it worked for a long time. I have contacted lowes again and let them know this one doesn™™t work either.. now waiting for someone to call me back with options. I need a washer but I wouldn™™t even know what to get at this point. I think I™™d be crazy to try this machine again™¦ so extremely disappointed

Lost a GE customer for life

Will not be buying another GE product to say the LEAST. Purchased a GE washer and dryer back in January and had it delivered and payed for install in February. No one tested it when it was installed and discovered a few days later upon doing a load of laundry that the washer was defective (won™™t spin or drain the water) Called Lowe™™s immediately to assess the situation and they informed me they have a 48hr return policy and would have to go through GE to fix this situation. Now we are almost in MAY and 19 calls with GE with THREE separate service appointments-one of which the service repair man just didn™™t show up to because he ™would™™ve been working overtime™ which resulted in me taking an 8hr work day off for no reason - my washing machine is STILL not working. So just to clarify this is now going on almost 4 months of not having a working washer™¦ the last service appointment the repair man declared there was two defective parts (that have been defective since the beginning) and they needed to be replaced but they were on back order until June (he also stated that he wasn™™t sure this would fix the problem) I called GE again- being the 19th call to let them know I want this washer replaced immediately- it is clearly defective- the person I talked to discussed putting in an order to get the washer replaced weeks prior apparently NEVER put in the order (I even called another time to get an update on the replacement order and the guy I talked said ™oh yea it™™s under review™ - but this last time I called the woman I spoke to said ™I™™m so sorry to tell you this but no one ever put in an order for a washer replacement.™ We are now almost in May and have no end in sight of being able to have a working washer- non the less I™™ve been dealing with this since February and paid $1,200 for this brand new washer ( had to take 3 separate 8 hr days of work) only for it to sit in my laundry room acting as just an obnoxious reminder that GE is a horrible company that clearly does not care about their customers or righting their wrongs. They definitely have lost a customer for life and I hope this post will act as warning to anyone looking to purchase new appliances to avoid GE at all cost!

Non Functional washing machine

Within two months of owning the washing machine the spin cycle did not work properly. The drum hit the front of the washing machine, the wahsing machine moved out of place into the room and I had to keep moving it back (it's very heavy), the clothes were wet (not damp) and took 1.5 hours to dry every load, and teh horrific sound it made banging was awful. Numerous service calls and being told everythings from the smart machine needs more water and you should do max fill (so much or energy saving); then I was told to set it on Bulkuy and deep fill; then I was tole it needed a new motor and transmission; then I was told to try a few loads and get back to them if it didn't work; then another service person came out and said he would put into place the process of getting me a new mahcine that he couldn't tell fromt he computer what was wrong with it; then customer service said he wrote that it was in funcitoning order and they couldn't do that (I wish he was here moving my mchine back for me); then anothe came out and told me engineering said they could nto see anything on their end by what the computer said (never being at my house and turnining on mu machine) so I was not going to get a new one and I should call customer relations. Customer relationssaiod send a video (which I emailed them) and a case manager would contact me and get the ball rolling to start the process to get a new machine. Here was are many weeks later and they don't call or aknowledge emails. GE washing machine it terrible and so is the servoice. Do not buy this machine. Don't fall for the energy conservvation and multiple controls to make your load pf laundry clean well. Stay away form this one. I wish I knew before I purchased. I have to save up for another machine. Very disspaointed and thought GE was a good name that stuck by their product.

I purchased this washer receiving delivery January 3, 2025. The washer bounced all over the place, slung fabric softener all over my clothes, and rinsed the clothes in warm water. I called for service and to ask how to change to cold water rinse only to discover that option is not available. After the serviceman came, I did not receive a call back nor were any of the complaints rectified. I called today and asked to return the product and purchase another one only to be told that the only washer they had that satisfied my qualifications would cost me $889, but I would receive free haul away, delivery, and installation. That model is currently on sale for $599, but I could not get the sale price.

Purchased matching washer dryer set, installed by the home depot, stopped working first load, replacement took 10 days and also stopped working on the first load. Both washers made loud grinding sounds before eventually doing nothing and then telling me the load is finished with a tub full of soapy water. Wont drain, wont spin, wont wash. After second replacement i requested full refund for both washer and dryer as my trust in the build quality has been forever lost. Was told ge will not take back dryer as it worked past the 48 hour mark and it basically doesnt matter to them that I expected a ™Matching™ washer and dryer set when i bought them brand new. Home depot is willing to take them back and offer me a different set. But Im not given any cause for why the 2 didnt work when delivered as ™quality tested™ machines from the factory. So is it the home depot that ruined them by poor storage or care? It would be important in my decision making to know if I should indeed accept their offer or contact my financial institution for a stop payment and hire legal representation if needed™¦ I was told that they dont know and i have to call a different number 2 times was yelled at by customer service and then hung up on for telling them i wont tolerate someone raising their voice at me in the current situation i am facing. All in all this experience has been enough for me to never step inside a home depot store again. I will tell every person I meet who needs a washer/dryer, and i will never, ever purchase or recommend anything you sell. Made in america™¦ what a joke!

I would give this 0 stars if it was an option. This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. I should have realized the first red flag, the week we got it I tried to wash a blanket for a full bed. I washed it on ™quick wash™ it took HOURS and it never spun the water out. At the end of the day (I tried that long) I just ended up hanging it up outside to drip dry until it was dry enough to put in the dryer. Then I started noticing it wasn™™t spinning regular clothes loads properly. It would just spin lightly and then add more water, spin lightly, add more water etc™¦ after hours of this, the cycle would finally be complete, the clothing would be DRIPPING WET. We thought maybe it was off balance, but there was no signs of that. I just kept thinking I was loading it wrong or something, but how? We thought we were using too much soap, we were barely putting in a tablespoon and this was still happening. My mom tried to use it while she was watching our kids and had the same experience. Light spin, add more water, after hours and it™™s ™done™ the clothing is soaking wet. My husband reached out to Lowe™™s, but unfortunately it was past the return period, we shouldn™™t have tried to make it work and just returned it at the first sign of trouble. He then reached out to GE. They sent someone out. The repair man said our drive unit had to be replaced. He said he had been seeing this a lot in this model. Not even a year old and needs a replacement part. He came back and replaced it. The same thing happened again, the load after it was ™fixed™ we called GE back and they sent him back out. He ran his little code thing and said nothing was wrong. But it™™s STILL happening. Half a day to wash a load and it comes out dripping wet. GE said it is because our washing machine is in the basement and it™™s not pumping the water out properly and the machine is throwing a funny code. Our house isn™™t that old, we™™ve had other washing machines in the same spot and had zero issues. All the drains and outlets are within building code, the machine should work properly. This is completely unacceptable. The only reason I got a new washing machine was because I wanted a matching set. I™™m so mad I bought a new machine. I want my old one back so bad. Now every time I do laundry I want to cry.

The loudest washing machine I ever heard. Super annoying sound penetrates the walls and I can't escape. This thing is right up there with waterboarding. It only fills with 7 inches of water no matter what setting is selected. I could live with filling it with a hose from my laundry tub but the noise is excruciating. I am done with GE.

Yes even if you press and hold the deep fill bottom until it makes a noise(yeah you just can™™t press the deep fill button to get a ™deep fill™ you have to hold it down until it beeps!!!) and when you just tap the ™deep fill™ button™¦. the green light comes on to tell you™¦.what?!?™¦.nothing ..bc I haven™™t seen a deep fill on it™™s own yet!!!) Apparently GE thinks that 7inches of water is enough to clean a king size comforter™¦™¦I have to manually add water to it via a hose™¦..I™™m about to get my old washer fixed and hook it back up™¦..why they went and computerized a washing machine beats me unlike how it cleans things. Soooo disappointed in GE and this new aged digital crap! Hunk of $800 junk! You have to babysit this machine more than the kids! Junk! This is what I think. These machines are so loud, while in wash cycle, while changing gears, spin cycle, rinse cycle and shut down. I realize cars are much more expensive by comparison, but a car can be made and you can't hear it operating and the car is not in your house. I was told most washers are in basement, so they are not as noticeable. Not true! I wanted it gone, immediately and offered to upgrade but was told the upgrade is the same machine (junk) with more electronic So so disappointed in your product. You can do better. Our machine sounds like an old truck that won't start.

Normalmente todo electrodomÃstico GE es de buena calidad y Ãsta lavadora no se queda atrÃs!! Muy bonita, y simple de usar. Tiene un agitador el cual ayuda a que la ropa se lave mejor!

Esta lavadora tiene buenas opciones de panel, nivel de agua y otros opcienes que otro labadoras no tienen. No hace mucho ruido pero si note que unas manchas no se salieron de mi ropa . Es una lavadora economica!

Estoy encantada con mi lavadora. Lava rÃpido, es callada y solo usa la energÃa y el agua que necesita asÃ me ahorro en la cuenta de agua y luz. Hasta las toallas se lavan rÃpido y terminan limpian y sin manchas. Me gusta mucho que puedes incluir el suavizante en el agitador y asÃ no tienes que preocuparte por agarrar el ciclo correcto. AÃ±Ãdele que todas las instrucciones en el panel estÃn en espaÃ±ol, en fin estoy sÃºper contenta con mi lavadora.

Esta es una lavadora tan buena que me gusta lo fÃcil que fue de instalar y operar! Lava mi ropa muy bien sin daÃ±arla! Me gusta que puede lavar cargas grandes como ropa de cama sin problema, tambiÃn quita muy bien las manchas de nuestra ropa! Esta lavadora es perfecta para las necesidades de mi familia. Su gran capacidad admite cargas de ropa, toallas y ropa de cama con facilidad. El agitador ayuda a eliminar las manchas difÃciles de la ropa de mis hijos. La pantalla ofrece opciones de configuraciÃ³n de lavado para optimizar mis ciclos de lavado y tiene una funciÃ³n de notificaciÃ³n luminosa para que pueda seguir el progreso del ciclo de lavado. Mis opciones favoritas son el ciclo de Ropa Deportiva y la posibilidad de utilizar las opciones de "Enjuague Profundo" y "Extra Centrifugado". Me gusta que la lavadora tenga la funciÃ³n de remojo, un tambor enorme (sin exagerar), un modo eco para la temperatura del agua, se llena hasta arriba y deja la ropa muy limpia. Lo Ãºnico extraÃ±o es que, aunque las perillas y los botones son muy sÃ³lidos, las perillas tienen una resistencia notable que da la sensaciÃ³n de que podrÃas romperlas si las giras demasiado rÃpido. Sin embargo, una vez que te acostumbras, todo va viento en popa!
