When you change the mode on the remote, you no longer get to see the temperature it's set at, or room temperature. You have to get up and walk over to the unit to see what it says.

This isn™™t my first portable air conditioner. However it is the quietest one I own, it cools my living room fairly quick, the controls on the remote are very user friendly, it keeps the room cool without constantly running. I haven™™t had to drain any water or connect a hose to it because the a/c takes care of that for me which I think is an awesome feature I have had the hose and the bucket I had to remember to dump if I forgot well it overflowed and so on. Great product!!

I have Renewal By Andersen windows and they say I can't use my window uunits.I bought one like it before for the living room and like it. The panel can be put in without having to screw in place and you don't have to drill into the expensive windows frame. Foam tape and duct tape work well and for security a wood block keeps anyone from pulling it up. I like the design of it now with the auto on door keeping things out.

The packaging was easily removed. The instructions were easy and installation did not take too long. I had to make a modification because the windows in my library building aren't as wide as those in my house but it was no problem. The unit cools my 400+ square foot building nicely!

I ordered this product as an 11,000 BTU product on the GE website, and the description said it cools 450 square feet. However, the product came delivered with the same model number on the box, but said it was 7800 BTU and cooled up to 350 square feet. I called GE to say that they sent the wrong product, but some person on the phone said it was the correct product (based on SACC values and the model number), even though the box said it only cools 350 square feet. So I still have not opened the box until I get the correct answer. Not sure why the box says cools 350 square feet and website says cools 450 square feet. I understand the SACC rating, but there is no correlation between the information on the delivered box and what is on the website. And trying to talk to someone at GE that is knowledgeable is a daunting, inconclusive, and frustrating task.

Not cold at all. Unit just blows warm air no matter what temperature I set it at. Filters are totally clean and water tank was checked to make sure it was empty. The exhaust hose on this is very cheap and false off the unit constantly. I had to wrap it in duct tape to keep it together. Not what I would expect from a $400 unit.

Purchased this AC unit for my son's bedroom last year. Out of the box, it seemed to work okay, but it was already quite loud. I SHOULD have returned it right away, a huge regret. We put it away in September 2022 and brought it back out this July 2023. It worked for about a week and then it just started to blow warm air. Tried to clean it, fiddle around with the filters.. checked to see if the control board was working... everything is okay, but it just blows warm air. TERRIBLE. Manufacturers warranty is only one year, so I called GE Appliances to see if they could help, but they just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. Out of warranty.. blah blah blah. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. Basically only got 2 months of use out of this thing and now it's garbage. Huge waste of MONEY. Will never buy GE appliances again.

Our last window air conditioner broke. We came upon the 3-in-1 portable air conditioner and couldn't pass it up for the price for the use we are going to be getting out of it. The best thing about the air conditioner is that you have the option to not have a hose hooked up to it and have it emptying into a bucket but instead it notifies you when the inner bucket is full and you can drain it. I love how compact it is but how fast it cools down your room. The only issue I have with this product is the tubing and plastic part that connects to the window kept falling out during installation and was very frustrating trying to get it into place just right to get the right cooling angle for the room.

I have been using this for a month now. Works great for the three weeks and then it started to shake and make more noises than usual. The lights and fan would be slowing down and then speed up. I would have blackout every few weeks. I am so annoyed at this machine that I can™™t return it because it passed the 7 day mark at conns. There is nothing I can do about it. Which by the way it sucks so I recommend everyone to stay away from this unit. Not worth your time and money.

Due to a mouse in our ac compressor our ac went out for a couple of weeks mid Sept. After a week in hotel rooms (my wife has MS and cannot tolerate temps over 73 for any extended period) I researched portable acs to at least cool our bedroom (in a 4 bedroom colonial) and selected this unit. Assembly and installation was hampered by sparse instructions (e.g. no mention of the use of the provided weather strip and no mention of the second, upper drain hole/plug which was the only place any water came out when I did drain it after a week of use). The unit did hold the desired 72 temp against outside Temps in the 90s but even at the lowest fan setting it was hard to sleep over the noise. There was also a distinct thump when the cooling was stopping (I assume a exhaust damper was closing).

We love that we can set the timer 7 or 8 hours later after I leave for work and have it come on so that it's nice and cool when I get home! I have a very small home it's about $869 ft I have a little window unit in the bedroom and then this unit in the front room kitchen area and it cools it wonderfully super simple to set up! My sister's name AC unit went out and she was asking me what I did for AC and she ended up getting the same unit for her living room and it has been super good for her too!
